Bubblegum flavor

The morning started off with the birthday boy at 4:45am. I think he got his birthday confused with Christmas. No problem, that gives us more party-prep time. After my first errands (to Party City and Target) went off without a hitch, I got home in time to see the monkey bouncy being set up. Along with the bouncy, our package included a sno-cone mahine. Figured that would help the kids bouncing in the 100 degree heat. We then realized that the sno-cone machine came equipped with two huge bottles of bubblegum flavoring. Ew. No problem, I knew exactly where Target kept the sno-cone flavorings. Off to Target I go. But, there were flavorings at the end of the aisle! After a conference with a team member, it seems that it is now off-season for sno-cones. Being the sno-cone fan that I am, I even drove to the seventh circle of hell, aka WalMart on a Saturday. But, alas, no flavoring. After the trip I arrived home flavorless, tired, and hot. And the party started in an hour.

Birthday Eve

This is my first post on our new blog. This may be a short-lived thing, as I don't get much time for this stuff. But, we thought it was about time to join the 21st century.

One year ago tonight I was in the hospital, getting ready to be induced. Scared, excited, and tired. (though I did not know then what tired really was). I was just glad to make it past 9/11, as I did not want Seamus to have his birthday on such a sad date.

I've included a picture of him opening his first present. He was too little to open presents at Christmas, so this was his first experience. He seemed to like the surprise of opening something to get to the item inside.

Tonight and tomorrow, preparations for his party. If the house is left standing, will post after his party. Good night.
